The speculation surrounding CSK captain MS Dhoni‘s impending retirement has captured the spotlight as the enthralling season of the Indian Premier League 2023 is about to begin. On the other hand, the captain of the Mumbai Indian cricket team, Rohit Sharma, is of the opinion that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is still good for a few more seasons of play.

During an interaction, Rohit Sharma while answering the question of how long MS Dhoni will play IPL, said “I don’t know if this is his last season, I have been hearing this for the last 2-3 years and I think he is still fit for playing, I think he will consider to play.”

Even after all these years, Dhoni is always ranked as one of the fittest players on the Indian cricket team. Despite the fact that there have been rumours concerning his retirement. In spite of the many challenges he faces, he continues to exceed expectations and prove his worth on the cricket pitch.

Shane Watson while speaking about Dhoni’s plan for the upcoming season said “I heard that this is the last IPL of MS Dhoni but I don’t think. MS Dhoni can continue to play for the next three to four years. He is still very fit and batting and wicket-keeping really well. His leadership is something that is as good as his game.”

He went on to remark that Thalla’s leadership and awareness of the game is one of the primary reasons why CSK have been so successful over the course of the many seasons of the Indian Premier League.

MSD is expected to lead CSK in their season opener against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday, despite the persistent rumours that he will retire after this year’s tournament.
