Watch: Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli's Heated Chat During The Game Has Gone Viral

Rohit Sharma led Team India and New Zealand are currently locking horns with each other in the 21st match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. The match is currently being played at Dharamshala’s iconic HPCA Stadium on October 22, 2023. India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first.

The Rohit Sharma-led side got off to a dream start as they picked up two early wickets to peg back New Zealand after winning the toss.

Mohammed Siraj gave India an early wicket, getting Devon Conway for a duck and then Mohammad Shami got rid of Will Young off his first ball in his ongoing CWC 2023. At 19/2, young Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell joined hands and put up a 159-run partnership for the third wicket.

Rachin was dismissed for 75 by Mohammad Shami and then Kuldeep Yadav got rid of Kiwi captain Tom Latham for 5 runs. However, Mitchell went on to hit a brilliant century to help New Zealand post a big total on the board.

Virat Kohli Helped Rohit Sharma During The Game

Meanwhile, the partnership between Ravindra and Mitchell had India captain Rohit Sharma worried. This led to former Indian captain and batting maestro Virat Kohli approaching Rohit Sharma to help him out in the 32nd over.

Both the cricketers were seen involved in an animated chat in which Virat Kohli was seen giving a piece of advice to Rohit Sharma, which the captain debates. The video of the same was shared by the ICC via their official accounts.

Rohit Sharma didn’t seem to be convinced by what Virat Kohli suggested but both two senior players continued to argue for some time with the former captain trying to get Rohit to see his point of view.
