Rohit Sharma’s double-hundred (200) party turned out to be a big disaster

It was a day that Rohit Sharma will never forget in his life. He became the first cricketer ever to score two double-hundreds in One Day International (ODI) cricket. Rohit Sharma scored 264 runs of 173 balls, smashing 33 fours and 9 sixes.

Our sources tell us that India’s Team Director Ravi Shastri arranged a party for Rohit Sharma and all the team member along with the support staff, were invited. The party started with a cake-cutting ceremony, in which Virat Kohli forced Rohit Sharma to involve him too, and then, all the teammates were asked to say something about Rohit Sharma’s historical innings.

Virat Kohli was the first to come on the stage and he said, “I am very happy for Rohit. He is a very nice guy. But, BC, I am going to break this record. Or, I will break his bat. I just can’t see this one more time.”

Ajinkya Rahane, who is also Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai teammate, said that he enjoyed watching Rohit’s knock, but he will miss his opening slot.

“I enjoyed watching Rohit’s knock. It was a true masterclass. But, having said this, he has hijacked my opening slot, and I will never forgive him for this,” said Ajinkya Rahane.

Robin Uthappa, who saw Rohit’s scintillating knock from the other end, also congratulated Rohit on his historical knock. Uthappa also added that he is also trying hard to make a comeback, but Rohit showed no concern and kept batting for his record.

“It was a real treat to watch Rohit bat like that from the other end. But, having said this, Rohit should have shown some concern, as I am also trying  hard to make a comeback. It feels bad to know that I contributed only 16 runs in a partnership of 128,” said Robin Uthappa.

In a surprising move, Virat Kohli came back to the stage to read out Virender Sehwag’s message.

“I have just received a message from Viru Pahji (Virender Sehwag) and he has written this for Rohit- Congratulations, Rohit. I know you must be very happy, but things don’t last forever, especially these ODI records,” said Virat Kohli.

Dhawal Kulkarni, who is also Rohit’s Mumbai teammate, was upset because no one noticed his bowling figures of 10-1-34-4.  Dhawal while congratulation Rohit, also added, “I wish people would have praised me a little, too.”

After listening to all this, Rohit Sharma became a little sad. Ravi Shastri, who is a master in bailing out Indian cricket, especially during controversial moments, decided to call off the party.
