India’s newly appointed full-time T20I skipper Rohit Sharma is very impressed with Deepak Chahar’s destructive knock against New Zealand in the ongoing 3rd T20I match in Eden Gardens. Deepak played a sensational knock of 21 runs off just 8 balls, and impressed one and all with his power-hitting shots. Deepak Chahar smashed 4, 4, 2, 6, 2, 1 – 19 runs off the last over and won everyone’s heart with his heroics.

Adam Milne became the victim of Deepak Chahar’s heroics in the last over. While his knock was stunning in every way, it was the maximum off Milne which was perhaps the shot of the match. Chahar just flat-batted the bowler for a maximum over long-on and made everyone jump on their seats.

India’s T20I skipper was so very impressed with Deepak Chahar that he gave a salute to Chahar from the dressing room. The videos and pictures of Rohit Sharma appreciating the blockbuster cameo of Deepak have been going viral on the internet.

Thanks to his brilliant cameo of 19-run over to end the innings, the Men in Blue were able to 184 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Earlier, skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. Rohit and Ishan Kishan opened the innings for team India. Rohit Sharma continued his brilliant form with the bat as he smashed his 26th T20 international half-century. Rohit played a stunning knock of 56 runs off 31 balls, smashing 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Ishan Kishan also played a crucial role by smashing six boundaries in his 29-run knock. Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, Harshal Patel and Deepak Chahar also gave crucial cameos to propel the team’s score.<
