Ross Taylor Gave A Hilarious Reply To “How Will You Tackle Ashwin?”: The Men in Blue made a stunning comeback in the shortest format of the game as they clinched a series win by defeating New Zealand in the ongoing 3-match T20I series. Now India will be seen locking their horns with New Zealand in a two-match Test series, which will kickstart from 25th November 2021.
Ahead of the much-awaited series, New Zealand’s veteran Ross Taylor stated that he will not reveal any plans against India’s legendary spinner Ravi Ashwin. In a virtual press conference, ahead of the Test series, Taylor also added that the manner in which New Zealand will take on the spin attack of Ravi Ashwin and Axar Patel will decide their success in the series, but he refused to reveal his plans on his battle against the veteran spinner. He said:
“I don’t want to give my secrets away just here (on being asked what’s his plan for R Ashwin). I don’t know what lineup India decide to go with, Axar Patel played a big role against England,”
Taylor feels that Ashwin will surely be one of the spinners that the Indian side will field for the first Test and admitted that how the New Zealand batsmen face against the Indian spinners will play a major role in the outcome of the series.
New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor advised his side to be wary of India’s pace attack in the impending Two-Test series. He said:
“Now they are going to play three spinners or two spinners, obviously Ashwin will be one of them. They are very good bowlers especially in these conditions and how we will play them, will play a big part in how the series is gonna go,”
Taylor also feels that adapting to the conditions will also play a big role in deciding the result of the match. He said:
“They are resting a couple of players but they are still a formidable side. The way we adapt to these conditions is going to be the key. This conditions are not foreign to us, some of the guys have played many times here before. We will be looking forward to hopefully use those experience but we know its gonna be tough.”
