Sachin Tendulkar Shared A Beautiful Birthday Message For Rahul Dravid

Batting legend and current India head coach Rahul Dravid, who is hailed as ‘The Wall’ of the Indian cricket team, was known for his impregnable defense and sound technique. During his playing days, even the greatest of the bowlers in the world found it difficult to Dravid’s defense and break his stumps.

Rahul Dravid, who made his debut in 1996, emerged out as one of the biggest cricketers of India, having scored over 24,000 international runs by representing India in 164 Tests, 344 ODIs and one T20 International.

The batting legend is celebrating his 49th birthday on Tuesday and the fans around the world are making sure to make his day even more special for him. From cricketers, celebrities to fans, everyone took to Twitter to wish the legend on his birthday.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) led the way as wishes poured in from all the corners for the former Indian skipper on his birthday. Sharing the picture of Rahul Dravid, the BCCI wrote: “509 international matches, 24,208 international runs, 48 international centuries. Here’s wishing Rahul Dravid – former India captain & current #TeamIndia Head Coach – a very Happy Birthday,” 

Among many, Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar also joined the bandwagon and came up with a heartfelt tweet for Rahul Dravid. Sachin, who shares a great bond of friendship with Dravid, shared a throwback picture of himself with the Indian head coach and wrote. Sharing the picture, Sachin wrote:

A very happy birthday to you Jammy. Wish you the best of health and good luck for the 3rd Test.”

The International Cricket Council (ICC) also paid a heartfelt tribute to the Indian batting legend. ICC wrote: “24,208 international runs, 48 centuries and 146 fifties, #U19CWC winning coach in 2018,”
