Punjab Kings’ young opener Prabhsimran Singh played a memorable knock as he registered his maiden IPL century in a must-win match for his side against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Punjab-based batter walked out to open the series and played almost throughout the innings. He returned back to the pavilion on the 2nd ball of the 19th over.
Prabhsimran Singh Registered His Maiden Century
Prabhsimran played a stunning knock of 103 runs off 65 balls. His sensational knock was laced with 10 fours and 6 sixes. All thanks to Singh’s knock, Punjab Kings managed to post a total of 167-7 runs on the board, which in the end proved to be more than enough.
Prabhsimran is the fifth batter to score a century in the ongoing 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. He reached the milestone with a four on the fourth ball of the 18th over of the PBKS innings, which was bowled by Khaleel Ahmed. Prabhsimran was also named the Player of the Match for his sizzling knock against Delhi Capitals.

Talking about the game, chasing the target of 168 runs, Warner and Co. mustered only 136-8 in 20 overs as the hosts lost the match by 31 runs. With this win, Dhawan’s PBKS side has climbed to the sixth spot on the IPL 2023 points table.
