Virender Sehwag is one of the most entertaining cricketers on Twitter. After his retirement, Sehwag took up cricket commentary and started sharing his funny, witty, sarcastic views on Twitter. Viru is one of the most intelligent readers of the game but he prefers to share his views in a way that can make his followers laugh.

When South Africa’s ace batsman AB de Villiers was blasting Bangladeshi bowlers all around the stadium, Sehwag took to Twitter and wrote: “Wow ! what smashing by AB De villiers. Should become the first middle -order batsman to score an ODI-double#SAvBAN“

AB de Villiers scored a brilliant hundred and also registered his highest ever score in One Day International (ODI) cricket, in his comeback match. Last 18 months have not been that great for AB de Villiers as he has suffered many injuries and this has kept him away from the game.

However, he announced his comeback in grand fashion by scoring a mammoth 176 runs. De Villiers offered a chance early-on after miscuing a pull shot, but Bangladeshi fielders failed to latch onto the opportunity and as a result, they paid a very heavy price as De Villiers went on to play one of the best innings of his career.

De Villiers fell for 176 off 104 balls, just 12 runs short of the highest ever score by a South African batsman in ODI cricket (Gary Kirsten 188*)as the Proteas put up a huge total of 354. In his innings of 176, De Villiers hit 15 boundaries and seven sixes.

But, immediately after Viender Sehwag tweeted that AB de Villiers will be the first ever middle-order batsman to score a double hundred in ODI cricket, his wicket fell and fans started tweeting that the Sultan of Multan jinxed it.

Viru, in his trademark style, apologised to AB de Villiers and wrote: “Sorry @ABdeVilliers17 , nazar lag gayi . But always a delight to watch you smash bowlers. Incredible hitting!”
