Pakistan is set to kick off their tour with the first Test in Perth on December 14, and shahid Afridi believes that Shaheen Afridi will be the bowler to keep a close eye on. He emphasized the crucial role of star pacer Shaheen Afridi in the series.

“Shaheen Afridi’s bowling spells will be extremely important in Pakistan vs Australia. He possesses the skills to trouble any batter in the world. Bowling in Australian conditions will be a good learning experience for him, and I believe he will play a crucial role in the series,” Shahid was quoted as saying by Cricket Australia.

Shahid Afridi also admitted that Australia will be a tough team to beat in their own backyard. He said:

Aussies are traditionally strong, both mentally and physically,” he said. “They are a very formidable side in their own conditions and facing them is always a challenge.”

They have a very strong batting order, and I expect a good contest during the Benaud Qadir Trophy. The series will undoubtedly be a test of skills and resilience,” he added.

Afridi reminisced about his playing days with Australia, emphasizing the privilege of sharing the field with the legendary spinner Shane Warne.

“Playing alongside Shane Warne was an excellent experience. He was a fighter and a brilliant cricketer. I learned a lot from him during our time together. We had some bowling sessions together, and he offered some valuable tips,” he said.

Pakistan cricket team, who are currently playing a four-day game against the Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra, will face Australia in a three-match Test series.
