If not only for his cricketing career, Rishabh Pant can do better with reducing a little bit of weight to hit the modelling charts in India, says former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar.
Rishabh Pant Played A Stunning Knock Against England

Since his comeback to the Indian team on the 2020/21 trip to Australia, Rishabh Pant has been on a rise across formats and hasn’t looked back.
Already a Test legend now, the left-hander on Sunday smashed his maiden ODI century helping India win the series-decided against England in Manchester. And the Delhi Capitals skipper is all set to play a crucial role in India’s T20 World Cup campaign as well.

A rockstar and a fan favourite, Pant has a rapidly growing fan base who are following his every move on and off the field.

With that, Shoaib Akhtar believes that Pant could make millions and more as a model as well but felt that the southpaw is a “little overweight” and should work on his fitness to reduce that fat and that will attract big contracts from the show businesses.
“He is a little overweight. I hope he takes care of that. Because India’s market is big. He’s good-looking. He can emerge as a model, earn in crores. Because whenever a person becomes a star in India, a lot of investment is made on them,” Akhtar said in his YouTube video.
Rishabh Pant’s maiden ODI ton, which he brought up in his 24th ODI innings and after 5 fifties and after a highly-backed promotion to number 4 from the Dravid-Sharma management, played a significant role in India claiming the ODI series 2-1.

In the chase of 260, the visitors had slipped to 38/3 and then 72/4 before a stunning, counter-attacking partnership of 133 runs from 115 balls from Pant and Hardik Pandya. And after Pandya’s dismissal, Pant reined into the England bowling, smashing 48 runs off 25 balls in a 56* runs stand with Ravindra Jadeja, and finished off the game soon, cracking 6 boundaries in the last 7 balls he faced.
The 24-year-old has been rested from the upcoming ODI series in West Indies but will return for the 5 T20Is.
