Shubman Gill Names One Area Where Virat Kohli Always Loses To Him

Last updated:

Shubman Gill is one of the most talented young Indian cricketers and is touted to be the next big thing in the Indian cricket team. He has impressed one and all with his solid performances ever since he made his Test debut against Australia last year and didn’t fail to make a mark. He even played a key role in guiding India to a historic 2-1 triumph Down Under.

Recently, in a conversation with ESPNCrickinfo, Shubman Gill was asked to name one thing which he would like to teach the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Responding to this, Shubman Gill said that he would like to teach Kohli FIFA (the video game).

For the unversed, Virat Kohli is an avid video game lover and it would be interesting to see how he will react to Gill’s claim. Gill said:

One thing… FIFA (the video game). I know he’s going to be really pissed but he always loses to me in FIFA.

Meanwhile, both Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were last seen playing for their respective teams in the recently suspended 14th edition of the Indian Premier League, which was suspended mid-way because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in India.

While Virat was seen in decent touch, as he amassed 198 runs in the seven games he played in the tournament for his team RCB. On the other hand, Gill wasn’t in the best of his form as he scored 132 runs in the seven games for Kolkata Knight Riders.

However, as the tournament is now suspended the focus of the cricket fraternity has been shifted towards the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final where team India will be seen locking their horns with New Zealand.  Both Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill are certain openers in India’s playing XI and the duo would be looking forward to leave a mark with their performance.
