Some Of The Best Tweets On Rohit Sharma’s Brilliant Catch

The Indian cricket team is currently locking their horns with the New Zealand cricket team in the ongoing first T20I in Eden Park, New Zealand. The vice-captain, Rohit Sharma left Auckland crowd in awe of him as he gave the major breakthrough to the struggling Indian cricket team in the first innings.

Asked to bat first, New Zealand openers — Colin Munro and Martin Guptill kickstarted the game with a bang. Their solid partnership was making the Indian cricket team sweat it out on the ground. With the help of their powerful partnership, the side reached 50 in merely 4.3 overs as both the openers sent the Indian bowlers to all the corners of the ground.

However, in the eighth over of the match, the ‘Hitman Sharma’ of the cricket world gave a major breakthrough to the Indian cricket team as he dismissed Martin Guptill with some great efforts.

Well, it all happened when Martin Guptill, who had smashed 30 off 19 balls, tried smashing a six off newbie Shivam Dube in his first over. But his attempt to send the ball outside the boundary rope failed miserably as Rohit Sharma picked up the ball mid-air.

But the catch didn’t come easy. Rohit soon realized that he is falling on the boundary ropes, but he didn’t lose his cool and acted smartly by throwing the ball in the air. Then he settled himself and went inside the ground to take the catch again.

As New Zealand suffered their first blow, Twitterati were all praises for the Indian opener. The video of the same has been making rounds on Twitter.
