Sourav Ganguly Hailed Virat Kohli And Ravi Shastri After India’s ODI Win Against England: India concluded their 2022 England tour on a high with T20I and ODI series win, thrashing the hosts 2-1 in both the white-ball formats.

But, also, there will be regrets and disappointment of not being able to win or draw the Edgbaston Test meant that the 5-Test series which had begun in August last year and was suspended after the fourth Test due to covid, ended in a draw 2-2, India profligating their chance to win a Test series on England soil after 2007.

Nonetheless, the Men In Blue will take great heart from their thumping T20I and ODI series wins over a powerful England team who, before this loss, had lost only two ODI series at home between 2015 and 2022.

Sourav Ganguly is reportedly not on good terms with Shastri-Kohli

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly’s latest tweet is going viral. In his tweet, wherein he lauded Team India for success on this England tour, he also mentioned former head coach Ravi Shastri and former skipper Virat Kohli.

It was indeed under the Kohli-Shastri regime last year that India had taken a 2-1 lead in the first four Tests of this series. For the fifth Test, India were led by Jasprit Bumrah as new captain Rohit Sharma was down with covid and Rahul Dravid is the new head coach.

In his tweet, Ganguly also mentioned and applauded the duo of Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya who made the victory in the third ODI in Manchester possible with their stunning performances.

“Super performance in england ..not easy in their country ..2-2 test .win in T20 and one days..well done dravid ,rohit sharma, ravi shastri, virat kohli @bcci..pant just special..so is pandu [Pandya],” Ganguly tweeted.

Pant and Pandya shared a mammoth partnership of 133 runs off 115 balls after India had been tottering at 72/4 in a chase of 260. After Pandya’s dismissal for 71 runs off 55 balls, Pant cracked his last 48 runs from only 25 balls, bringing up his maiden ODI ton. Pant was named the Player of the Match and Pandya the Player of the Series.
