Arjun Tendulkar, the son of legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, finally made his much-awaited debut in the Indian Premier League for the five-time champs Mumbai Indians. Arjun, who has been a part of the MI camp since 2021, didn’t get a game in either that year or the 2022 season. However, he finally got an opportunity to make his debut in the Indian Premier League in a game against Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium.

Arjun Tendulkar finally made his IPL debut

The Tendulkars are the first father-son duo to play in the IPL and for the same team — Mumbai Indians. Sachin, who is hailed as one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game of cricket, has played only for Mumbai Indians in his IPL career. He played six seasons with Mumbai and is currently the team mentor.

In his debut match, Arjun bowled two overs in his maiden appearance for the franchise and conceded 17 runs.

Sachin got a very close view of his son’s maiden performance in the IPL because he was sitting inside the MI dugout. Arjun’s sister, Sara Tendulkar was also in attendance at the Wankede Stadium in Mumbai.
