SunRisers Hyderabad is hosting Kolkata Knight Riders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad for match number 47 of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023. Both teams have won three games so far. A win tonight for either would keep their flickering hopes alive in the tournament.
SRH and KKR are meeting for the second time this season. They met at the Eden Gardens last time where Harry Brook announced his arrival in style.
KKR Won The Toss And Elected To Bat First:
KKR Captain Nitish Rana won the toss and elected to bat first. KKR welcomed back Jason Roya and Vaibhav Arora into their eleven. Speaking at the toss, Rana said:
“We will bat first. Looks like a good wicket. Will hope to put a good total. We need to focus on the match on the day and not look too far ahead. We faced injuries but it is good that everyone is back and fit. We will try to save those 15 runs and hope that makes the difference.”
For SRH, Marco Jansen is back along with Kartik Tyagi. Umran Malik has been benched. Speaking at the toss, SRH skipper Aiden Markram said:
“We would have batted as well. We tend to do well when we bat first. It is the time when you want to play good, consistent cricket. Tonight is an opportunity to do that. Mostly with the batting we need to improve.”
