STAT ATTACK: Top 10 wicket-takers in T20Is in 2016

2016 turned out to be a good year for cricket as many good tournaments and bilateral series happened and the fans got to witness some top class cricket. In this post, The Cricket Lounge’s Vaibhav Sharma lists top 10 wicket takers (till date) in T20Is in 2016.

Interestingly, there are three Indian bowlers in this list. India’s young fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is the leading wicket taker in T20Is in 2016 (stats updated till 23/08/2016). Bumrah has taken 24 wickets in 19 matches at an average of 18.91. Bumrah’s economy of 6.34 is terrific for T20 cricket. The other two Indians in this list are Ravichandran Ashwin (21) and Ashish Nehra(18).

2016 was a very good year for Bangladesh cricket and their bowling was one of the major reasons. There are three Bangladeshi bowlers in this. Check out the full list here:
