One of the greats of the game, Stuart Broad retired at the conclusion of the Ashes 2023 series. He had a pivotal role to play in England leveling the series and avoiding a first home Ashes loss since 2001.

Stuart Broad finished as the second-highest wicket-taker of the Ashes 2023 series with 22 scalps to his name, just one short of leading wicket-taker Mitchell Starc. Broad capped off with a fairytale ending by taking the last two wickets of Australia’s second innings to win the Oval Test.

The 37-year-old Nottingham seamer goes away from the game with 604 Test wickets in his career – ending up as the 5th highest wicket-taker in Test cricket and the second-highest among pacers, only behind teammate James Anderson who has a tally of 690 wickets. Stuart Broad featured in 167 Test matches, again the fifth most in Test cricket, and second among pacers.

Furthermore, he also snapped up 178 ODI wickets and 65 T20I scalps, bowing out with overall 847 international victims. With the bat, he scored over 3000 Test runs as well with one century and 13 fifties to his name in the format.

Apart from his cricket and sponsorship deals, Broad has earned significant income from his pub chain called Tap & Run, which is situated near Nottingham. He’s also learned to have invested heavily in real-estate properties.

Former England seamer and Broad’s friend Harry Gurney is his business partner at their pub chain called ‘Tap & Run’. In 2019, they got honored at the Leicestershire Tourism and Hospitality Awards.

With Stuart Broad retiring, he will expand his pub chain, and he and Guney have already joined hands for investment from Lee Cash (founder of Peach Pubs).

Stuart Broad’s latest contract with the ECB was worth around £700,000 ($824,992) annually. He has been on the face of some of the leading brands and companies including Adidas, Red Bull, Hardys, Simon and Schuster, The Belfry, and Investec.
