After being crushed by 97 runs by Kings XI Punjab in their previous game, Virat Kohli led Royal Challengers Bangalore were in dire need to win the match and it happened.
Virat Kohli and squad gave incredible performances to beat the defending champions Mumbai Indians in a contest, that was decided by the ‘Super-Over’. Asked to bat first, RCB rode on the amazing performances from Aaron Finch, Devdutt Padikkal, and AB de Villiers and posted a huge total of 201 for 3, which was also their highest score in the tournament so far.

With the help of the powerful performance of Ishan Kishan and the big hitter Kieron Pollard, Mumbai Indians staged an impressive comeback with the bat that eventually led to a Super-Over against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chasing a total of 201 runs, Mumbai Indians got off to the worst start to their innings as they lost 3 wickets in quick successions until Ishan Kishan walked in. Ishan Kishan walked in and took the match by storm. He formed a formidable partnership with Kieron Pollard and played an innings of his life as he registered his IPL score. However, his amazing innings witnessed a heartbreaking climax as he was dismissed on 99 runs. But Mumbai Indians were able to end their game with a tie, leading to a Super-Over.

In the super over, RCB’s talented bowler Navdeep Saini bowled brilliantly to restrict Mumbai Indians to 7 runs only, also picking up a wicket during the process. In reply, AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli walked out to bat for their team in Super-Over. It was a stunning four off Virat Kohli’s bat, that sealed the victory for RCB.
