Suresh Raina Congratulated Gujarat Titans With A Special Tweet: Gujarat Titans had a terrific run in the league stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they were seen dominating throughout the season, sitting on the top of the IPL 2022 points table.
On Tuesday, the Hardik Pandya continued with its dominating run as they finally stormed into the IPL 2022 final by defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 1 round by seven wickets at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Gujarat Titans gave a dominating performance in Qualifier 1
Each player of the franchise lived up to the expectations of the fans and contributed to the success of the team. Though the target was a big one and the stakes were high but it turned out to be yet another classic Gujarat Titans chase. Shubman Gill and Matthew Wade gave a flying start to the side. Captain Hardik Pandya also played a crucial unbeaten knock of 40 runs off 27 balls as he formed an amazing partnership with David Miller, who played the anchors role and took the RR bowlers to the cleaners.
In the end, it was the ‘Killer Miller’ show as he smashed the RR bowlers to all the corners of the ground to take his side home. Miller finished the game with three consecutive sixes, as his unbeaten knock of 68 in 38 balls bagged him the Man of the Match award.
Earlier, in the game, RR managed to put a big score courtesy of a fantastic knock by their in-form batter Jos Buttler. Sanju Samson provided much-needed momentum to the game before Jos Buttler took control over things and smashed the bowlers to all the corners of the game. For GT, apart from Rashid Khan, all the bowlers were expensive, however, the batters made sure to cover up for them in their innings.
