Former Indian captain and batting maestro Virat Kohli silenced his critics with the bat as he starred with the bat to help the Indian cricket team post a strong total of 181 runs for seven in 20 overs against the arch-rivals Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 Super-4 clash.

Virat Kohli, who was going through poor form for a long time now, having scored his last century three years ago, showed a glimpse of his return in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. He made a decent return with the bat. He scored a steady 35 against Pakistan and remained unbeaten on 59 off 41 deliveries in the game against Hong Kong.

Now in the ongoing match against Pakistan, which is India’s second meeting with the Babar Azam-led side, Virat Kohli once again came to India’s rescue as he played a stunning knock after the top-order collapsed. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul had earlier given a strong start, adding 54 runs in the first five overs.  However, the Indian side lost an array of wickets, which slowed down their momentum in the middle overs.

However, Virat Kohli held the fort and smashed the Pakistani bowlers to all the corners of the ground. He crossed the 50-run mark creaming a stellar six over deep midwicket. Kohli smashed a stunning 60 off just 44 balls, hitting four boundaries and six.

Meanwhile, fans on social media went berserk after the stellar knock by King Kohli. From cricketers and experts to fans, everyone came up with amazing reactions and tributes for the legendary batter. Among many, former Indian cricketer and World Cup hero Suresh Raina also took to his social media and hailed the performance of Virat.

In his Tweet,  Raina hailed Kohli as a ‘powerful man’ and praised him for playing with calm and aggression at the same time. He wrote: “Hitting a half century with a six, King Kohli style  @imVkohli❤️ Playing with such calm and aggression at the same time, good going brother 🇮🇳 #INDvPAK”
