Chennai Super Kings‘ young star Ruturaj Gaikwad is celebrating his 26th birthday today and social media has been buzzing with amazing birthday wishes and messages for the young talent. The right-hander is one of the promising talents in the domestic arena, however, he has not been able to cement his place in the international squad.

Gaikwad might have played only 10 games for the Indian cricket team but he is not a new name in the domestic circuit. Gaikwad made his debut in List A cricket in the 2016-17 season and it didn’t take too long for the Maharashtra-born batter to steal all the limelight. In fact, he made a blockbuster debut in the Ranji Trophy as well, where he amassed 444 runs and ended the competition as the third-highest run-scorer in the competition.

Gaikwad impressed one and all with his batting prowess and all thanks to his batting excellence he was roped in by the Chennai Super Kings’ franchise ahead of the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League. A year later, Gaikwad made his debut in the IPL. In 2021, Gaikwad raised to fame as he managed to win the prestigious Orange Cap.

He emerged as the highest scorer of the season, having scored 635 runs in that season. His stellar show with the bat helped Chennai Super Kings to lift their fourth IPL trophy. The batter recently went berserk in domestic cricket as he smashed 7 sixes in an over. Ruturaj Gaikwad is expected to be one of the leaders of the dressing room for Chennai Super Kings in the future.

Meanwhile, as social media has been buzzing with amazing birthday wishes for the young talent, former Chennai Super Kings superstar batter Suresh Raina also joined the bandwagon. Suresh Raina took to his social media and came up with a beautiful birthday wish for the young talent. In his Tweet, Raina wished him the best in life. He wrote:

“Happy birthday to the very talented @Ruutu1331, may your day be filled with lots of love, laughter, and good memories. Always wish you the best in life, have an amazing day brother!”
