Suresh Raina Wrote A Special Message For SKY: Suryakumar Yadav registered his first T20 century, however, his knock of 117 runs went in vain as the England cricket team defeated Team India by 17 runs in the third and final T20I match at Trend Bridge in Nottingham.

Suryakumar Yadav Played A Sensational Knock

Chasing a huge target of 216 runs, the Indian side was reeling at 31 for 3 when Suryakumar Yadav walked in to bat and took the game by storm. He formed a partnership with Shreyas Iyer and together they added 119 off 61 balls for the fourth wicket to bring the visiting side back into the game.

After Shreyas’ dismissals, the wickets at the other end kept falling but Yadav continued his onslaught to take India closer to the target. However, he was dismissed in the penultimate over to put the England cricket team back in the driver’s seat.

Suryakumar Yadav reached the triple-figure mark off just 48 balls, joining Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, KL Rahul, and Deepak Hooda in the elite list of Indian batters with a T20I century. SKY’s stunning knock of 117 runs off 48 balls was laced with 14 fours and six sixes. However, he fell short of one run from equalling Rohit’s record for the highest score by an Indian in the format.

Suresh Raina Hailed SKY

Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav has been receiving praises from all corners. From cricketers and experts to fans, everyone took to their Twitter and hailed the performance of Suryakumar. Among many, former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, who is very active on social media, also joined the bandwagon and came up with an interesting Tweet for SKY.

In his Tweet, Suresh Raina hailed the brilliance of SKY as he welcomed him to the club of cricketers to have scored a century in the shortest format of the game. He wrote:

“Welcome to the 💯 club @surya_14kumar.. Well played brother 💪 #SuryaKumarYadav #IndvEng”
