Sarfaraz Khan’s impressive performance against the England Lions in an unofficial four-day Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad earned him his debut call-up to the Indian team. The 26-year-old claimed the Player of the Match award for scoring 161 runs off 160 balls, leading India A to an innings victory.
Sarfaraz boasts an excellent first-class record with 3,912 runs in 45 matches at an average of 69.85 and a strike rate of 70.48, including 14 centuries and 11 half-centuries. His highest score of 301 not out came in a Ranji Trophy match in January 2020, and he performed exceptionally well in the 2022 Ranji Trophy, amassing 982 runs at an average of 122.75 with four centuries and two fifties.
