A Journalist Asked “Are You Thinking About Revenge?” And Virat Kohli Gave A Brilliant Reply

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has entirely neglected the thought of taking any revenge against New Zealand after they knocked out the Men in Blue in the World Cup Semi-Final. The last time these two teams clashed in an international fixture, New Zealand got the better of the Kohli-led side in the marquee World Cup Semi-Final in Manchester.

It was a heartbreaking loss for India, who were favorites to win an easy ticket to the Final, but it wasn’t to be as Kiwis held their nerves in a high-pressure game. Before the start of the ongoing T20I series, Virat Kohli was asked if he views this series as an opportunity to avenge their World Cup Semi-Final defeat against New Zealand.

Virat Kohli was kind enough to graciously answer the question as he said, “Honestly, even if you think about revenge, these guys are so nice, you can’t get into that zone.” Kohli even believed that New Zealand has shown all the other teams on how to conduct themselves as individuals on a cricket field.

He was nothing but all praise for the home team who are as competitive on the field just like any other team in international cricket.  He admired their sportsmanship and the amount of respect that he has got for this opposition.

“We get along really well with these guys and it’s all about just being competitive on the field. They are probably one side that has set the right example for teams to play at the international level and how they should carry themselves, ” Virat Kohli added.

“They are not nasty and you can tell by the way they play. We have a lot of respect for them and vice-versa. We were actually happy for them when they qualified for the finals because when you have lost you have to look at the larger picture,” the Indian skipper mentioned.
