Delhi Daredevils have new hopes with the new season around the corner and a new team being built. Delhi Daredevils are yet to win their first title in the gala cricket league and they have been let down by some big names.
With auctions for the IPL 2018 around the corner teams will have a lot of thinking to do. RCB looks already solid with Kohli as the skipper and so do CSK and MI with Dhoni and Rohit Sharma as their respective captains. A team is as good as its captains and if Delhi Daredevils has got to back itself to win the title then they must choose a fine leader.
Delhi Daredevils have retained Chris Morris, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant and they can actually build a great team around them. But Delhi needs to find a leader first for what has always hurt Delhi the most are the captaincy woes.

1.Kane Williamson
The New Zealand Skipper has led his team to be the number one ranked team in the ICC Rankings. He’s a great leader who leads from the front and a great batsman to have by your side. He can be the perfect captain for the Delhi Daredevils.
2. Joe Root
The England skipper too would be a hot favourite in the IPL auctions. He’s a great leader and one of the finest batsman in the world across all formats. Root would be a jackpot if Delhi can get him and a perfect captain for the side. Delhi must get him to build a strong team.
3. Gautam Gambhir
He’s not been retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders and he has also expressed a wish to play for Delhi. Gambhir has led KKR nicely
and won them a few titles. Gautam Gambhir has also scored a great deal of runs in the IPL and is an amply experienced customer. Delhi is as it is his home team.
