Hardik Pandya was the lone fighter for India in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017. While all other Indian batsmen struggled to score runs, Pandya looked at complete ease and smashed boundaries and sixes at will. It was a good batting wicket at The Oval but Pakistan’s quality bowlers made it very difficult for Indian batters in the middle.
Pandya, who came in to bat at number 7, scored 76 runs off 43 balls. He smashed 6 massive sixes and 4 boundaries in his entraining cameo. We all know that Pandya is an aggressive batsman but the power with which he smashed those 6 sixes was a breathtaking experience to watch. He stayed still and smashed Pakistani spinners as clean as you would ever see.
Although, Pandya got out in the most unfortunate manner and couldn’t take India across the line, he earned the love and respect of Indian cricket fans across the world. While Pandya was going hammer and tonks in the middle, many Bollywood celebrities were praising his effort on Twitter. From Ranveer Singh to Shreya Setia, Bollywood celebs couldn’t hide the fan inside them and praised Pandya and his brave effort in the middle.
However, the best wish for Hardik Pandya came from none other Sushmita Sen. Sushmita, who is one of the most beautiful women in India, couldn’t hide her emotions and sent out a couple of lovely tweets for Hardik Pandya.
