A boy named Ripon Chowdhory was arrested in Hailakandi in Assam, for wearing Pakistan’s cricket team’s jersey. Later, it was revealed that Ripon is a Shahid Afridi fan and he supports Pakistan cricket team only because of him.
Reports claimed that a FIR was also filed against him under section 120 (B), 294 of the Indian Penal Code. The Assam News reported that the local Bhartiya Yuva Morcha committee had lodged the FIR against the youth, saying he had indulged in an anti-national act. And he was arrested on Saturday.

A very similar incident happened in Pakistan when a young boy named Daraz was put behind bars and initially sentenced for a 10-year prison for hoisting India’s national flag.
“I am a big fan of Virat Kohli. I support the Indian team because of Kohli. Hoisting of Indian flag on the rooftop of my house only shows my love for the Indian cricketer,” Daraz had reportedly told.
