Hasan Ali shakes a leg during 1st Test: Pakistan began their 2-Test series against Sri Lanka on Saturday in Galle. This series is crucial for both the teams concerning the World Test Championship; Sri Lanka are placed third while Pakistan is just below them in the WTC table, followed by India who are fifth.
Sri Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and elected to bat. Before the Pakistani bowlers took the field, they were warming up near the boundary when senior pacer Hasan Ali decided to shake his leg which the commentator laughingly said was a new dance routine.
Known for his ‘Generator’ celebration after taking a wicket, Hasan Ali was caught on camera dancing near the boundary line, which left teammate Haris Rauf amused. The commentator at the time also had a hearty chuckle at Hasan’s entertaining dance antic.
“Hasan Ali … well this is all part of a routine to get a little bit loose. It’s different these days. These guys… but nonetheless enjoying himself Hasan Ali,” the commentator said.

Talking about the first day’s play, the visitors had control over the proceedings for about over half of the day, but by the end of it, the hosts came right back in the game.
Led by fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, Pakistan one by one nipped out the Lankan batsman, having the team struggling at 133/8, after which Dinesh Chandimal, fresh from a double hundred against Australia, started playing his strokes with only tailenders at the other end.
Chandimal got support from Theekshana and Rajitha as the last two wickets partnerships brought Sri Lanka 89 runs which took them to a respectable eventual total of 222 with Chandimal top-scoring at 76. Shaheen took 4 wickets while Hasan Ali and Yasir Shah took a brace each.
Sri Lankan bowlers struck twice in the final session removing both the Pakistani openers for cheap scores. Pakistan are 24/2 by the end of Day 1 with skipper Babar Azam and former skipper Azhar Ali at the crease.
