Apart from him, Chamika Karunaratne also played a very vital cameo in the game as he smashed some stunning shots against Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 19th over and sealed the deal for his side.
Before the game kickstarted Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka asked his team to bat first, however, his young troops didn’t stand up to the task and they could only post a total of 132 runs on the scoreboard. Even though the Indian cricket team played with highly inexperienced cricketers on their side, but they put on an admirable fight throughout the game.
The luck also seemed to be on the Sri Lankan cricket team’s side, getting some controversial umpiring decisions on their side to level the ongoing series.

The thrilling game not just turned out to be one of the most entertaining games of the ongoing tour but also doled out a few unique stats and records. While there were many jaw-dropping records made by both teams, however, the Indian cricket team also made an unwanted record.
Well, this was the first time that the Indian cricket team batted all twenty overs of a T20I innings without any player having a strike rate of 130+.
Yes, you read that right, all the players who batted last night had a strike rate less than 130+. Devdutt Padikkal had the highest strike rate of 126.09.
