After starting day 2 poorly with the bat in the morning, team India bounced back in the ongoing first day-night Test match against Australia. Ravichandran Ashwin, who was picked as the sole spinner alongside three seamers for the first Test match has turned the tables for team India.
It was the brilliance of Jasprit Bumrah, All thanks to the magical spell of Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian cricket started off brilliantly by dismissing Matthew Wade (9) and Joe Burns (8) without much damage. Jasprit Bumrah gave the Indian cricket team an upper hand in the game and the Australian cricket team was left at 35/2, trailing India by 209 runs.
A couple of misfielding and a series of drop catches later, it was the master-class of Ravichandran Ashwin that stole all the limelight as he picked the big wicket of Steve Smith to give the much-needed breakthrough to team India.
Ashwin set up Steve Smith wonderfully as he bowled a couple of traditional off-breaks and later on finally got one to go straight with the natural variation. Steve Smith tried to hit the ball, that touched the outside edge before Ajinya Rahane took a comfortable catch.
Ashwin was delighted when he picked the big wicket of Steve Smith and soon he was seen pulling-off an Imran Tahir on-field. He celebrated the wicket in a similar manner to that of Imran Tahir’s celebration.
Ashwin then went on to pick two more wickets for his team with his magical spells. He dismissed Travis Head (7 off 20 balls) and Cameron Green (11 off 24)
