India has delivered a clinical bowling performance having reduced South Africa to just 269. Given the fact that South Africa is a great one day side, Kohli and his men will be happy to chase down 270. Indian bowlers especially the spinners were on top of their game.
For India Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers as he picked 3 from 34. Yuzvendra Chahal was good too and scalped 2 wickets for 45 in his quota of 10 overs. Pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked one wicket each.
After losing Hashim Amla early, Skipper Faf Du Plessis took the responsibility to steer the South African innings. Du Plessis played a brilliant knock and hit his 9th ODI century to give South Africa a decent total. Du Plessis scored 120 from 112 balls before getting out to Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the final over of the innings.
India would now need a good start from the openers to chase the total. India has dominated the first half despite Du Plessis getting a ton. India is now the favourite to win this match given how good they’ve been in chases in the past.
