Last night, England and India were battling it out at the iconic Lord’s in the second One-Day International. Now England and India both have one win in their accounts, as England won the match last night beating Indian team by 86 runs.

Before the match started at Lords, the toss was won by the England cricket team and they chose to bat first. The target of 322 runs was given to the Indian cricket team.

Joe Root gave an outstanding performance and remained unbeaten till the last ball. He gave a power-packed performance and went on to score 113 runs. With an amazing strike-rate 97.41, Joe Root smashed 8 fours and 1 six.

The Indian cricketers tried their best to limit the England cricketers from scoring a huge number. MS Dhoni gave another brilliant performance and took the wicket of many cricketers. While David Wiley was given ‘run-out’ by MS Dhoni, Joss Buttler and Ben Stokes were ‘caught out’ by Dhoni.
However, the Indian cricket team couldn’t chase the target and lost the match by a huge margin of 86 runs.
Seems like it wasn’t a good day for the Indian batsmen, who’s wickets were bundled up by the cricketers of England one after the other. While the openers, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan went back to pavilion early, without scoring much, on the other hand, the young hitter, KL Rahul was sent back to pavilion with 0 runs. He was caught out by Joss Buttler. The skipper of Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli scored 45 runs, he was bowled by Moeen Ali.

MS Dhoni scored 37 runs but was caught out by Ben Stokes. However, last night, MS Dhoni completed 10,000 runs in the ODIs. Yes, MS Dhoni became the fourth Indian cricketer to make 10,000 runs in the One Day Internationals.
The twitter was soon flooded with the congratulatory tweets for MS Dhoni. Many cricketers and fans took to twitter and praised MS Dhoni for his performance. Here’s how twitterati reacted, have a look :

Excellent from @nassercricket to ask Kohli about Dhoni’s struggle. Not many in India would’ve “dared” to ask the captain about it.

MS Dhoni’s achievement of 10,000 ODI runs is unique one.
He has scored more than 75% of his runs batting at No. 5 and below.
None of the other members in the 10000-club scored even 30% of their runs batting lower down the order.
Legend like none other!

Just when Tennis matches look like one day cricket matches, Dhoni made a one day match look like a test match. Respect
