Twitterati Are Slamming BCCI For Dropping Sreesanth From IPL 2021 Auctions

Former Indian fast bowler, Sreesanth couldn’t make the final cut in the IPL list of players who will be going under the hammer in the auction on February 18, 2021. It was indeed disheartening to see that despite an impressive showdown in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he couldn’t make the last round in the pursuit of a spot in the glittering cricketing extravaganza.

As per reports, the erstwhile 38-year-old fast bowler registered himself in the auction list and set a base price of Rs 75 lakhs. However, in the latest list which was shared by BCCI after a list of preferred players that was given to them by the franchises, Sreesanth was not someone who was expected to brew a storm.

Twitteratti had mixed reactions to Sreesanth’s exclusion from the prestigious list. A few empathized with him for being axed to players who were simply there to increase the count. A few thought that his dark past is one of the reasons that led to him being neglected from the auction or the preferences.

A few people on the micro-blogging site also claimed that it was his growing age that led to Sreesanth being knocked out of the auction wars.

Here is what netizens had to say about the former fast bowler after he had a disheartening ouster even before the auction kick-started.
