Twitterati Are Trolling Rajasthan Royals For Picking Jaydev Unadkat Once Again For INR 3 Crores

The love affair of Rajasthan Royals with Jaydev Unadkat will continue this season as well. Jaydev Unadkat, who was released by Rajasthan Royals ahead of this auction, has once again been roped by the cricketer, albeit at a cheaper price.

Jaydev Unadkat was the biggest buy-in the IPL auction consistently for two seasons, in 2018 and 2019. However, this time Rajasthan Royals brought him on board at Rs 3 crore. Talking about the same, the head of cricket of Rajasthan Royals, Zubin Bharucha said:

“We could not retain him, and had planned to get him back. I’m really happy to once again have him in the team. He was the only experienced Indian pacer available at the auction and after a tough bidding battle, we managed to get him,”

Well, this isn’t happening for the first time with Jaydev Unadkat as earlier in last season as well, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs 11.5 crore in 2018, however, he was released before the IPL 2019 auctions and was later bought by the same team for Rs 8.5 crore – a cut of almost Rs 3 lakh.

In the last editions of the game, Jaydev Unadkat couldn’t do justice to his hefty price tag. In the 11 matches he played last season, he could only pick 10 wickets and had an economy rate of 10.66. And for the same reason, Twitterati are trolling Rajasthan Royals for buying Jaydev Unadkat once again.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

I hope all parents in India believe in their kids the way Rajasthan Royals believe in Jaydev Unadkat. #IPLAuction2020
