The duo brought the momentum back to the game as they tackled the dangerous Australian bowlers, who were trying their best to put pressure on the Indian batsmen with their aggressive bowling.
The duo showcased immense fighting spirit by successfully countering Australian bowlers with their resolute batting. While, Pujara frustrated the Australians with his determined batting, on the other hand, Gill showcased the best of his abilities as he kept the scores ticking by occasional fours and rotating the strikes.

When the captain of the “toughest-team-to-beat” chirps away at a 21 years and 2 Tests old newbie, you can imagine how the rookie must have rattled the giant.
Gill playing like a dream, and getting under the skin of the Aussies without uttering a word!#ShubmanGill #AUSvIND

Gill is probably our best overseas opener now and can play at this position for couple years. But can he move down order to replace Pujara/ Rahane/Kohli once any retirement or replacement is needed?? #Shubmangill #AUSvIND

#Shubmangill is so suave at the crease, although Gower was left handed Gill reminds me of him so elegant. #AUSvIND
