The game of cricket is regarded as the ‘gentlemen’s game’, however, over the years, we have witnessed cricketers losing their calm and displaying emotions, which might end up looking unsporting. Recently, the fans around the world witnessed another such moment after Mushfiqur Rahim let out his ugly side during a Bangabandhu T20 Cup match.
Bangladesh’s skipper Mushfiqur Rahim, who is known to be hot-headed, had a moment he’d like to erase from the memory of fans. It happened during the match between Beximco Dhaka and Fortune Barishal, which moved towards a close finish as Barishal looked to chase down the target of 150 runs posted by Rahim’s team.
On the 17th over of the game, Atif Hossain smashed a cheeky shot. After watching the ball in the air, both Mushfiqur and Nasum went for the catch and almost collided while attempting a catch.
Rahim completed the catch however was angered with the youngster for almost colliding with him. He even gestured with his right hand as if he was going to punch the youngster, which led to Nasum taking evasive action. Ahmed then even tried to calm the skipper but he was in no mood to listen and went on to give him a piece of his mind.

Meanwhile, Rahim’s moment of anger has infuriated the fans on social media, who are trolling Bangladesh’s skipper left, right, and center for his distasteful actions that made him look more like a bully. Besides trolling Rahim for his action, netizens also expressed their sympathy towards the junior who was mortified by the actions of Rahim but still remained calm.
