All it took was just one-handed stunner by the legendary Zaheer Khan to bring back many memories and to prove the fact that age is just a number. In order to spread awareness regarding road safety, Sachin Tendulkar led ‘Indian legends’ locked their horns with the ‘West Indies legends’ in the inaugural match of the Road Safety World Series at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
With the likes of legendary players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Bran Lara, Caryl Hooper, Richard Powell, and many others coming out together for a match, it was expected to be a nostalgic ride for the Indian cricket fans and the clash surely lived up to the expectations of the viewers. From some big hitting, good bowling performances to some jaw-dropping efforts from the fielders, there were many brilliant moments that took place on-field.
One of the main highlights of the match was a stunning catch for the legendary cricketer Zaheer Khan. The former Indian cricketer, who was known for his impeccable bowling, rolled back the years for the Indian cricket fans as he took a spectacular one-handed catch during the inaugural match to dismiss Richardo Powell.
Well, the stunning catch took place during the 17th over that was bowled by Munaf Patel. Richardo Powell went for a flick and times it well, but the ball couldn’t find the elevation and it went straight towards deep square-leg only to be held by Zaheer Khan, who jumped and plucked it with one hand and then balanced himself really well to see Powell going back to the pavilion.
