Twitterati React To Chirpy Rishabh Pant’s Hilarious Comments Caught On Stump-Mic

There isn’t any denying the fact that Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is one of the most entertaining cricketers. His ability to continuously talk behind the wicket helps the team, as not just he keeps his teammates motivated but he also irritates the wits out of the opposite batsmen.

In the ongoing first of the four-match test series against England in Chennai, Rishabh Pant was at it again. All thanks to the stump-mic, fans got to hear some hilarious one-liners by Rishabh Pant.

It happened when R Ashwin came on to bowl as a first change and Pant got active behind the stumps. The stump-mic picked up all the hilarious conversations that Pant had behind the wicket. Pant wanted Ashwin to bowl outside the off-stump to the left-handed Burns, therefore to encourage him, Pant said:

“Idhar se badhiya hai, Udhar se phasega to maza aaega” (It will be fun to see him get trapped from that side)

When Ashwin asked Pant to step back a little, Pant said:  “Nahin, mai aise pressure bana raha hu” (No, I am creating pressure like this).

Besides this, stump-mic also caught many other things uttered by Pant behind the stumps including Chalo yaar, Dheele nahin’ (Come on guys, no loose moments), ‘Koi dikkat nahi hai’ (There’s no problem), ‘Sidha rakho Ash bhai’ (Keep it straight, Ash) “Mehnat karna padega yaar” (we’ll have to work harder). He also called Pujara ‘Pujinder’.

Infact during Washington’s over, Pant said: “Mera naam hai Washington mujhe jaana hai DC” (My name is Washington, and I want to go to DC.)

Meanwhile, fans on Twitter were left in splits with the hilarious comments made by Rishabh. There were many who came up with hilarious memes and jokes while expressing their thoughts. These memes are too funny to be missed.

Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:

There should be a clean feed with just Rishabh Pant talking, almost like a package on the broadcaster’s platform. He is terrific entertainer both in front and behind the stumps #cricket #IndvEng

The commentators should stop commentating as soon as an Indian spinner comes onto bowl and #RishabhPant is behing the stumps. The wicketkeeper from Delhi just keeps chirping from behind which is fun to watch and listen. #INDvENG @StarSportsIndia @BCCI
