On Sunday, the Men in Blue sealed the three-match T20I series against Australia by winning the second match, played at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Virat Kohli led side chased down a 195-run target in the last over thriller thanks to the blockbuster performance of Hardik Pandya as he slammed 42* off 22 balls.
Apart from Hardik Pandya, the batting line-up of team India made the Australians taste the ‘IPL flavor’ as they smashed the Australian bowlers to the cleaners. Talking about the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli played a stunning 40-run knock. While he starred with the bat, Virat failed to leave a mark as the fielder and left many disappointed with his performance as a fielder. During the 1st innings, he dropped the catch of Matthew Wade.
However, that wasn’t the first time during the tour, when Virat had dropped a catch. Now reacting on Virat Kohli dropping catches, former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja took a cheeky dig at the Indian skipper stating that he is now worried about the baby. He said:
“I am not worried about the Indian team but the baby arriving.”
For the unversed, the Indian skipper Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma are expecting their first baby in January.
While analyzing the possible reason for the Indian skipper dropping easy catches on the Sony Ten network, Ajay Jadeja cited that the Indian skipper was off-balance. He also said that even the best players can have a bad day on the field. He said:
“Virat Kohli over the years we’ve seen he’s taken some exceptional catches.”
He added:
“Today, I think he had time but he was off-balance when he was just about to catch it. And these things happen. When you start dropping them, even these dollies, then, the ball appears like a bomb coming towards you,”
Well, the comments of Ajay Jadeja didn’t go down well with the fans on social media, who are now slamming him left, right, and center. While there are many who are trolling Ajay Jadeja for taking a personal jibe at Virat Kohli, on the other hand, others couldn’t spot the humor behind the comments made by him.
