Amit Mishra Controversy: Cricket has finally resumed after a long halt due to the Coronavirus pandemic. IPL 2020 is being termed as the ‘biggest gift’ of 2020. As the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is going on in full swing, players have adapted to the new protocols and regulations as well.
From staying inside to not involving in hand-shake, high-five, or any physical touch during the match, cricketers have adapted the protocols well. However, seems like the bowlers are having some issues in adjusting to the no-saliva rule.
Well, last night, during the match between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Amit was spotted violating the rule.
Delhi Capitals’ bowler Mishra might have bowled a wonderful spell but he found something to mess it up in the match. Well, during his spell, Mishra mistakenly put saliva on the ball. Not just this, Amit Mishra didn’t inform the umpires, who as a result didn’t sanitize the ball.
As the league is being played amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, all the cricketers, staff, and team management were provided with a set of protocols that are needed to be followed throughout the league. While, the umpire missed this moment, but the sharp eyes of netizens caught the moment and soon started slamming the bowler left, right, and center for his mistake.

Here, check out the reactions of twitterati on this:
I think I just saw Amit Mishra licking his palms twice while bowling in the over. Wasn’t saliva usage banned? Shouldn’t the umpires at least whipe the ball? #ipl2020 #SRHvDC
