One more day of test cricket between India and Sri Lanka and one more disappointing day for the mighty Lankans. India batsman made a mockery of Sri Lankan bowling on the second day of the on going test match and registered a commanding score of 622 for loss of 9 wickets.
Yesterday it were the centurions Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara and today it was R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. They smashed the Sri Lankan bowlers all round the park and didn’t allow them to come back in the game. Though Sri Lanka enjoyed few moments of reprice but India was too strong for them. India crossed 600 for the second time in the series and declared for 622/9, giving the Sri Lankan batsman 20 overs to survive.
Then came the magic of Ravichandran Ashwin who sent the Sri Lankan opener Upul Tharanga for a duck. He presented some beautiful display of off spin bowling and stuck twice to leave Sri Lanka reeling at 50 for the loss of 2 wickets at the close of day 2. He was ably supported by Ravindra Jadeja from the other end who was unlucky enough to not get a wicket himself.
A below par performance from the Sri Lankan team made them receive a lot of flank on twitter, who thrashed them for such an abysmal performance.
Here Are Some Of The Twitter Reactions:
Jadeja is a rockstar when it comes to the test format. #SLvIND

Was a matter of time before Ashwin got Karunaratne. Nearly unplayable for a left hander on this pitch.

If the conditions aren’t skewed, mediocrity has no place to hide in Test cricket…want evidence? Watch #SLvIND in this series.
