Sunrisers Hyderabad and Jammu & Kashmir star bowler Umran Malik had impressed one and all with his terrific raw pace and consistent performances in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. All thanks to his stellar performances he was named in the Indian squad for the just-concluded 2-match T20I series against Ireland.
Umran Malik Picked His First Wicket
However, the 22-year-old pacer just bowled one over in which he gave away 14 runs. After his debut game in Indian colors didn’t go as planned, Umran Malik made sure to make full use of the opportunity he got. The 1st T20I match against Ireland was halted because of the rain and Umran got only an over to the bowl. However, in the second T20I match last night, Umran Malik finally picked his first International wicket against Ireland in Dublin.
The first wicket came in the 14th over of the game, which saw Malik bowl, and two singles were taken from the first two balls. The next ball was wide, however, on the fourth ball, Malik got the wicket of Lorcan Tucker. The ball went high up in the air and it landed straight in the hands of Yuzvendra Chahal who came to the field as a substitute. It was his first international wicket in Indian colors.
After picking his first international wicket, he came up with a special heart-touching celebration. The video of his celebration has gone viral on the internet and has left everyone impressed with his performance.
