‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle Gives Verdict On His New ‘Head Boy’ For IPL 2020

Chris Gayle, who is regarded as a legend in T20 cricket, has been one of the most successful cricketers in the history of the Indian Premier League. Chris Gayle, who is now part of the Kings XI Punjab franchise for IPL 2020 has completed his six-day mandatory quarantine in Dubai before he joined the KXIP’s training camp for IPL 2020.

KXIP is being led by KL Rahul as the skipper of the team and the former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble is the head coach of the team. Recently, Chris Gayle talked about his upcoming stint with KXIP and expressed how he feels like going back to school with a new headmaster and a head boy.
In a video posted by KXIP on their YouTube channel, Chris Gayle further said that he is looking forward to rallying around with the new skipper. He said:
“Back in class, some new students here as well and it was good to be around them. Some new teachers here as well, we have new headmaster (head coach) in Anil Kumble. So, Universe Boss is back in school. Looking to rally around with new head boy, KL Rahul,”

Gayle further said that he is how KXIP will be his home for the upcoming 84 days. He said:
“This is going to go on for 84 days, so this is our family and our home now. We just have to try to get up and running as quickly as possible and enjoy each other’s company,” 
Meanwhile, Chris Gayle has been a formidable option for KXIP for top-order as he scored 368 runs in 11 matches in his first year with the franchise and followed it up with an even better tally of 490 runs in 13 matches in the 2019 edition of the league. Chris Gayle will be expected to carry forward his brilliance in IPL 2020 as well.
