Venkatesh Iyer has been one of the biggest finds of this edition of the Indian Premier League. He made his debut for Kolkata Knight Riders in the UAE leg of the IPL 2021 and gave back-to-back brilliant performances to take his team to the final. During the UAE leg of IPL 2021, Iyer amassed 370 runs off 10 games he played and also claimed three wickets.

The Indian team management took notice of the brilliant skills of the youngster and gave him his international debut in the first T20I in the ongoing series against the Kiwis. Venkatesh, who received his maiden cap from Rohit Sharma, started his international career with a boundary off the first ball of his career however he departed soon. He scored 12 and 20 in the 2nd and 3rd T20I match against the Kiwis.

Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of Venkatesh Iyer, where he can be seen speaking candidly about his interests, which included his love for the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

In the video, Venkatesh Iyer talked about several aspects of his cricketing life and also shared how she shares a strong bond with pacer Avesh Khan. However, what caught everyone’s attention was his love for WWE and he also had a “special request” for a former superstar of the WWE, ‘The Undertaker’.

With a huge smile on his face, Iyer wished and hoped that the BCCI video would be seen by the ex-wrestler and would land him a signed WWE belt. He said:

“Undertaker is one of my childhood heroes. I am a big fan of WWE and Undertaker. I really hope that he sees this video and sends me a signed WWE belt,”
