Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma lavished praise on the Vikrant Massey starrer 12th Fail movie that has swept up the love and admiration of the entire country over the past few months.

The combination of veteran director Vidhu Vinod Chopra and versatile actor Vikrant Massey produced an inspirational movie based on the 2019 book by Anurag Pathak about Manoj Kumar Sharma. The protagonist in this story comes from poverty but goes on to become an Indian Police Service officer.

The movie has reportedly collected INR 66 crore worldwide, and has received praise from everyone, including Rohit Sharma. The Indian team players are currently on a break with a long gap between the second and third Tests against England.

Rohit Sharma attended the Leo 1 event where he was asked by the host, Mandira Bedi, whether he had recently seen any movie or web series.

Rohit replied, “I watched the movie called 12th Fail. Yes, it is a very good film.

India need Rohit Sharma to return to form in Test cricket

In the absence of Virat Kohli, India will need their captain to get back to his best with the bat in the rest of the three Tests against England. In four innings of the first two Tests, Rohit has managed only 90 runs, which is even less than Shreyas Iyer and KS Bharat.

Rohit Sharma’s form in Test cricket hasn’t been the best in recent outings. In two Tests in South Africa, he managed only 60 runs.

With the series standing level at 1-1, and Virat Kohli not being available, Rohit’s return to form would be crucial for India as they look to continue on their proud unbeaten home record of the past 11 years.

India have been given a boost with the return of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul for the third Test, although their participation in Rajkot is subject to fitness clearance.
