India need Rohit Sharma to return to form in Test cricket
In the absence of Virat Kohli, India will need their captain to get back to his best with the bat in the rest of the three Tests against England. In four innings of the first two Tests, Rohit has managed only 90 runs, which is even less than Shreyas Iyer and KS Bharat.
Rohit Sharma’s form in Test cricket hasn’t been the best in recent outings. In two Tests in South Africa, he managed only 60 runs.
With the series standing level at 1-1, and Virat Kohli not being available, Rohit’s return to form would be crucial for India as they look to continue on their proud unbeaten home record of the past 11 years.
India have been given a boost with the return of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul for the third Test, although their participation in Rajkot is subject to fitness clearance.
