On Day 3 of the match, Bangladesh’s batting performance was not up to the mark. Starting the day at 55/1, they had a decent beginning with Zakir Hasan scoring a crucial half-century. However, apart from him, none of the other batters could make significant contributions.

Taijul Islam (22) and Mominul Haque (33) tried to stabilize the innings, but Sri Lankan bowlers dominated. Bangladesh was eventually all out for 178 runs.
