Team India and Australia are currently locking their horns in the ongoing 2nd Test of the 4-match Border Gavaskar Trophy. After an embarrassing defeat in the 1st Test match, team India made a few changes. Debutants Mohammed Siraj and Shubman Gill were included in the playing squad and the duo repaid the trust of the management and the skipper Ajinkya Rahane.

Mohammed Siraj and Shubman Gill made a combined effort to dismiss the dangerous Marnus Labuschagne in the ongoing Boxing Day Test against Australia at the MCG.

Before the game started, Australian skipper Tim Paine won the toss and decided to bat first but only to regret it later. Jasprit Bumrah gave the major breakthrough to the Indian cricket team by dismissing Joe Burns for a duck before Ashwin dismissed Steve Smith and Matthew Wade to reduce Australia to 38 for 3.

However, Labuschagne and Travis Head managed to stop the rot of team India and brought back the momentum for their team. The duo stayed strong after lunch too before Bumrah dismissed Travis for 38 after lunch to end the 86-run stand for the fourth wicket.

However, Labuschagne was still looking dangerous for team India. But a brilliant effort from India’s debutants shattered his big plans into pieces.

Marnus was batting on 48 runs when Mohammed Siraj bowled a stunning delivery to him that was full and angling into his pads. Marnus smashed the ball for a flick however failed miserably as his shot grounded and Shubman Gill took a stunning diving catch to get rid of Marnus.

For the unversed, Marnus Lubuschagne became Mohammed Siraj’s first wicket in Test cricket. The video of the dismissal was shared by Cricket Australia via their official Twitter account.
