Despite attaining fame and recognition, Ravi Bishnoi has maintained his humbles and remained footed to earth, as is evident by a recent viral video in which the young leg-spinner could be seen distributing tea among his friends at an event.
23-year-old Ravi Bishnoi, who attained the number 1 ICC ranking in men’s T20I in December, hails from Rajasthan and is currently featuring in the Ranji Trophy 2024 season for Gujarat.
In a video that has been doing rounds on social media this week, the youngster can be seen distributing tea from a big jug. There is no ounce of condescension or arrogance in Bishnoi as he volunteers to distribute tea to his friends.

Ravi Bishnoi has made significant strides in T20Is and has all but sealed his place in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. He has snapped 36 wickets in 24 T20I matches and maintained a tidy economy of 7.5. He collected 20 wickets in his last 14 T20I innings, and was tasked with bowling the second Super Over in the series-winning T20I against Afghanistan last month in Bangalore.
Rohit Sharma, the captain, picked Bishnoi to bowl the second Super Over ahead of fast bowler Avesh Khan. Bishnoi snapped two wickets in the Super Over to win India a thrilling match.
“Both of us were told to be ready but when they saw two right-handers coming in, they asked me to bowl with the bigger leg-side boundary,” Bishnoi told Jio Cinema.
After the Ranji Trophy, Ravi Bishnoi would next be seen in the IPL 2024 in March where he will feature for the Lucknow Super Giants.
