VIDEO: Haris Rauf Gives Aggressive Send Off To Ishan Kishan- India were bowled out for 266 runs against Pakistan in their Group A Asia Cup 2023 encounter on Saturday at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
The Pakistani pace trio was effective under cloudy and overcast conditions and shared all 10 Indian wickets to fall. Shaheen Afridi took 4 wickets, Haris Rauf took 3 wickets and Naseem Shah also snapped three wickets to bundle India out for a par total.
India lost their senior duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to Shaheen Afridi early on before Haris Rauf dismissed Shreyas Gill and Shubman Gill.
Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan, who was playing out of his usual opening position and batted at number 5 today, produced a brilliant fighting partnership of 138 runs in 141 balls, which was broken by Haris Rauf, who dismissed the left-hander.
Haris Rauf bowled a back of length delivery from around the stumps which Ishan tried to smash on the leg-side but only got a spliced end of the bat and managed to give Babar Azam at mid-on a simple catch.
Haris Rauf was pumped up after taking this breakthrough wicket and gave Kishan an aggressive send off. He was seen gesturing the batsman toward the dressing room and looked intense in his gestures, but Ishan Kishan ignored him and started to walk.
